Linear Income vs exponential income

There is story which goes like this:

A multi-millionaire celebrating his birthday, wanted to give his 2 teenage sons each a present.

He said to them," there are 2 type of presents which I have prepared to give you on my birthday, however, you 2 have to work for it." Pointing to his estate, he continued, "There are 40 young trees at the nursery, I want each of you to take 20 young trees and finish planting them."

"First present, for every tree you plant, I will give you $100,000 each."

"and second present, for the 1st tree you plant, I will give you $10, the second tree you plant I will double the amount that is $20 and the third tree you will get $40 and so on , each tree you plant the amount will be doubled up."

"Since you are the younger one I will let you choose" , said the father to his 2nd son.

Without much thought, the younger brother straight away choose the 1st present (the $100,000 for each tree), leaving the second present to his elder brother.

How much will each them get after finished planting the trees ?

The new Wellness Revolution by PaulZanePilzer

Why I wanted to be CNMarketer?
What kind products do I sell ?
It all come to me when I read this book 'The new Wellness Revolution'
Millions of books have been sold world wide and this book was published in 12 languages.
If you want to learn more about paulzane pilzer please visit this website

Paul's definition of wellness industry and sickness industry attracted my attention into what I am today.

In this book he difine :-
Sickness industry : products and services provided reactively to people with an existing disease, ranging from a common cold to existing cancerous tumours. These products and services seek to either treat the symptoms of a disease or eliminate the disease.
Wellness Industry products and services provided proactively to healthy people( those without an existing disease) to make them feel even healthier and look better, to slow the effects of aging, and /or to prevent diseases from developing in the first place.

At chapter 9 of the new Wellness Revolution is chapter he talks about Direct Selling. How to get started and statistics that will give you a sense of what the direct selling industry looks like today.

By using the knowledge I received from The new Wellness Revolution as a guideline , I began to research network marketing companies in Malaysia that I would come across and finally I found it.

Conventional Distribution Method

Please refer to this chart on the right side.
A marketing company purchases a product from a manufacturing company each cost RM100.00.
In order to be the one and only agent to market the products , the marketing company will have to invest millions of Ringgit and good facilities and large marketing network for distribution of the products.
10% of the cost is spent on advertisement.
40% is mark up on its cost including warehousing, trucking , inventory, bank credits and profit .
There are 13 states in Malaysia, the marketing company appoint its sole agents in each state. Some states are too big to cover and there will be regional distributors and then the whole saler , the retailer and finally to the end user-the consumer ( like you and me)
Take a calculator and follow the chart multiply the percentage and added up the cost and see what you get, from manufacturer till the consumer. If you think the mark up % on each level are too high and not reasonable ,for example, the advertisement cost can be less 5%, the marketing company can make profit with mark up of 30% , or the sole agency and regional distributor should be one level only. Well, go ahead put the mark up % on each level and calculate again and compare to CNM method.

What is Consumer Network Marketing

A consumer is a person who spend money to buy things he/she needs.

A consumer is the end user of a product distribution, from a factory through many levels of agents till the end user- consumer.

Network Marketing- is a system every large corporations have. The bigger their network markets the better.

A Consumer Network Marketer is a person who spend money to buy things he/she needs but at the same time makes money on things he/she introduced.( off course when he/she felt good about the products )
